Free concert planned Sunday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries
Concordia Lutheran Ministries will present a free concert by the Murphy’s 56 East Band at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Concordia at Cabot Haven II patio, 148 Marwood Road, Jefferson Township. Use entrance 5.
A happy hour with a food truck will be at 3 p.m. and tours of the campus will be available. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be in the Haven I dining room, 112 Marwood Road. Free parking is available.

Knead Community Café welcomes donations
Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.
Items on the café’s wish list include full- and half-sized aluminum foil steam pans, liquid Mini Moo’s creamer cups, dry creamer canisters, paper towels, one-size-fits-all disposable gloves, cupcake liners and Tide or Gain powdered laundry detergent. Donations will be accepted during business hours 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
Salvation Army seeking help with food pantry distribution
The New Kensington Salvation Army, 255 Third St., is looking for volunteers to assist with its food pantry distribution that is held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the first Friday of each month.
Help is needed to sort food and pack boxes, carry and lift boxes into cars and clean up and restock the pantry. Shifts are two to five hours long.
