9/11 Moving Flag Tribute planned in Harrison
The 9/11 Moving Flag Tribute will be Monday on Broadview Blvd. in Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Walkers and runners of all ages will carry American flags from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the sidewalks from Lamparski Orthodontics to Morgan Street and back. A police flag will move the entire time in memory of fallen Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire.

Sept. 30 bus trip to visit Flight 93 Memorial, Quecreek Mine
Apollo Area Historical Society will sponsor a community bus trip Sept. 30 to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County.
The bus will leave Apollo at 7:30 a.m. and return at about 7:30 p.m. Stops will be at the Pie Shoppe in Laughlintown, the Quecreek Mine Rescue site and Patriot Park where over 7,000 flags honor members of the armed forces who have been lost in the global war on terror.
There will be a lunch stop on your own and dinner at the Coal Miners Café in Jennerstown. Cost is $179 and reservations are required. For reservations, call 724-212-9255.
