9/11 Moving Flag Tribute planned Thursday

The annual Moving Flag Tribute will be Thursday on Broadview Blvd. in Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Walkers and runners of all ages will carry American flags from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the sidewalks from Lamparski Orthodontics to Morgan Street and back. A police flag will move the entire time in memory of fallen Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire and all police officers.

Volunteers are welcome. Bring your own flag, or flags will be available. To participate, contact Kate at 724-664-9382 or katestevebielak@gmail.com.


Mingle on Market to celebrate bike night

The monthly Mingle on Market in Leechburg will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday on Market Street.

The evening will be a bike night and music will be by the Shiners. Sponsored by the Leechburg Area Community Association, there will be food trucks and vendors.
