Threat of rain prompts Plum School District to reschedule graduation
The threat of rain has prompted the Plum School District to reschedule its graduation ceremony.
The district announced Tuesday that it has pushed the ceremony ahead a day, from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Plum High School stadium.
“While the extended forecast is still subject to change, current projections indicate that Thursday will offer more favorable conditions, allowing us to celebrate outdoors in the stadium as planned,” the notification signed by Principal Patrick Baughman says.
A second rain date is set for Friday, held either outdoors or, if weather remains unfavorable, in the high school gymnasium.
More than 100 members of the Plum Class of 1975 are expected to return to be honored.
“We look forward to celebrating this exciting moment together under clearer skies!”
