A 40-year-old Homestead man was shot in the hand in Kittanning on Friday over a drug debt, state police said.
Police said the incident happened in an apartment along the 100 block of South Jefferson Street at about 9:45 a.m.
Willie Lunsford, 33, of Mount Union; Eric McKenzie, 32, of Beaver Falls, and Kanisha Croyle, 26, of Kittanning, are charged in connection with the shooting.
State police said Croyle asked a 35-year-old Kittanning man inside to open the door. When he did, Lunsford and McKenzie ran into the apartment, and Lunsford held a pistol to that man’s head.
The Homestead man saw what was happening and confronted the men. He was shot in the hand. He was taken to UPMC Shadyside hospital, treated and released.
State police Sgt. Rocco Russo said troopers arrested Lunsford on Monday in Huntingdon County.
McKenzie and Croyle were arrested Friday.
The car they used was found in Beaver County, Russo said.
Lunsford is facing 17 charges including attempted homicide, and multiple counts of robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, making terroristic threats and simple assault.
McKenzie and Croyle each face four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.
The trio are scheduled for a May 1 preliminary hearing before District Judge James H. Owen.
