Traffic restrictions, delays expected on Route 356 in the Sarver area during milling work
Drivers can expect to see lane restrictions and delays as PennDOT begins milling work on Route 356 in the Sarver area on Friday.
The milling work will begin on Route 356 in Jefferson, Winfield and Buffalo townships at 6 a.m. on Friday.
Work may continue through Saturday, according to PennDOT.
This will impact Route 356 from the intersection with Sarver Road in the southbound direction for about 2 miles, and in the northbound direction for about 6 miles to Caldwell Drive.
Flaggers will control traffic, which will be restricted to a single lane.
Drivers should expect delays between the Sarver area and Butler during the work this weekend.
PennDOT urged drivers to use alternate routes when possible.
Drivers are asked to slow down while driving through work zones and to be alert to changing conditions, signs and flaggers.
Drivers can check conditions on roadways by visiting 511PA.com, a free site available 24 hours a day. The site provides traffic delay warnings, along with weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 950 traffic cameras. These services are also available on an app and by calling 5-1-1.
