Route 356 in Allegheny Township was closed for several hours as crews repaired a utility pole cracked by a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning, according to Westmoreland County 911.

The truck was attempting to turn when it got stuck in mud shortly after 4 a.m. As the driver tried to get back on the road, the truck collided with the utility pole, dispatchers said.

There were no injuries.

West Penn Power responded to repair the pole.

The road reopened around 8:20 a.m.
