Valley Points Family YMCA announced that its Allegheny Valley branch in Harrison will be closed through Sunday because of a covid-19 case.

The organization made the announcement on its Facebook page late Thursday night.

In the post, the YMCA said it was notified Thursday evening of a positive covid-19 case, and that members of its staff may have been exposed.

“During the closure, affected areas will undergo a thorough deep cleaning process and we have already begun contacting individuals who have been deemed a close contact for the need to self-quarantine,” the YMCA said in the post.

Valley Points said it plans to reopen the Allegheny Valley branch on Monday.
