A Vandergrift man who was reported missing by family members has been found, according to police.

An Allegheny Township police officer saw Robert W. Horner, 85, at the Fuel Land gas station on South Leechburg Hill Road around 9 p.m. Thursday. Family members said they had not seen him since Wednesday afternoon and police had issued a news release seeking information on his whereabouts.

The Allegheny Township police officer, who had been getting gas at Fuel Land, recognized Horner from missing person reports. The officer contacted Vandergrift police and Horner’s relatives were notified.

Vandergrift police Officer Christian Disciscio said that Horner and his dog Shadow were in good health. Horner was returned to his residence in Vandergrift.
