Kiski Township police arrested a man after a woman accused him of strangling and raping her during an argument that started over his missing cellphone, according to authorities.

Jordan Michael Coleman, 32, of Acheson Avenue, North Apollo, is charged with four felonies in connection with the Oct. 28 incident, according to his arrest papers. The charges are rape, two counts of strangulation and a count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, along with three lesser charges.

Coleman was detained in the Armstrong County Jail after his Oct. 30 arrest and was released Nov. 4 after posting a $25,000 bond, according to court records.

He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 19 before District Judge James Andring.

The woman told police the argument with Coleman escalated when he pushed her into a table and choked her for about 15 seconds until she pleaded to be released, the complaint said.

She said Coleman then grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the ground before pushing her out the front door.

She told police she “begged to be let back inside” so she could gather her belongings, and Coleman complied.

But when she went to their bedroom to retrieve her things, he followed her inside the room and raped her, police said.

The woman said Coleman ended the sexual assault only when she “began shaking violently while crying,” the complaint said.

After she dressed and went downstairs, Coleman again threw her to the ground and tried to remove her clothing, but she was able to get free by kneeing him in the groin, police said.

The woman said she was able to get out of the house and call her mother, who picked her up at a nearby business.

Police obtained a search warrant for Coleman’s house and confiscated bedding and the clothing the woman said he was wearing on the day of the incident.

Investigators who interviewed the woman said she had red marks “around the neck” along with bruises on both arms, underneath her armpits and along the upper part of her torso.

Police said they questioned Coleman after he was told he had the right not to speak to them, and he denied the accusations, according to the complaint.

When police asked Coleman how the woman knew he was wearing camouflage-colored underwear on the day she said she was raped, he responded that he “wears the same pair every day,” the complaint said.
