Verona manager resigns from post
Verona officials will soon be in the market for a new manager.
Council member accepted Stefanie Woolford’s resignation during this month’s council meeting.
During the meeting, council Vice President Trish Hredzak said Woolford’s last day will be Aug. 8. She was not present at the meeting.
“Stefanie, on behalf of council, we reluctantly accept your resignation,” Hredzak said in a statement during the meeting. “While we understand this has been a difficult decision compounded by personal, family and health reasons, we do appreciate the contributions made to Verona during your time here. You’re heart for our community is seen and appreciated by all of us.”
Woolford has been serving as the borough’s manager since October 2022.
Before coming to Verona, Woolford served as the executive director of Riverview Community Action Corporation for almost 11 years.
Born and raised in Ohio, she attended college at Miami of Ohio. She then attended the University of Toledo for a master’s degree in public administration.
Woolford did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
