Verona police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a suspect they say could be armed and dangerous.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Price Riley, 38, of Verona after a Center Avenue resident claimed Riley assaulted them over cigarettes. Borough police Chief Thomas Dessell said officers were called to the street just after 10 p.m. Sunday. The victim suffered serious head and facial injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Riley allegedly ran from the scene before officers arrived.

This is the second run-in with police Riley has had in less than a year. He is on bail for an armed robbery and shooting in December at the Verona GetGo.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Riley for alleged aggravated assault. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows Riley’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
