A 59-year-old Washington Township man was accused Thursday of sexually soliciting a minor in Maryland, state police said.
Donald Henry Loughner of Washington Township, was detained by Kiski Valley state police on a warrant issued Thursday by Washington Township District Judge Jason Buczak. The warrant was based on information from police in Montgomery County, Md., according to the affidavit filed by state police.
Cpl. Michael Zimmerman, a state police organized crime task force member, did not provide any information in the affidavit of the alleged solicitation of a minor by Loughner or when the alleged incident might have occurred. Zimmerman said the Montgomery County police contacted him about the alleged crime on Monday and the Maryland police obtained a warrant on Thursday.
Loughner was fingerprinted and processed at the Kiski Valley police station. State police said they contacted Montgomery County authorities and confirmed Loughner’s extradition.
A spokesman for the Montgomery County police department could not be reached for comment Thursday.
