West Deer is selling a Harley Davidson motorcycle to raise money for police equipment.

A bid of at least $17,500 is required for the 2001 Harley Davidson Willie G. motorcycle, which remains in its original packing crate.

Township Manager Daniel Mator said a local family that collects motorcycles donated the bike to help the police department.

Bids should be enclosed in envelopes marked, “Sealed bid for 2001 motorcycle,” and mailed to 109 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.

The township will accept bids until 1:30 p.m. April 8.

Bids will be considered at the township supervisors’ April 17 meeting. The township reserves the right to reject any bid.

For more information, call 724-265-1100 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
