The westbound lane of Crawford Run Road, between Duffer Lane and Clarks Pike Road, in East Deer will close next week as crews begin work on a bridge.

The single-lane closure will start at 9 a.m. Monday, according to the Allegheny County Department of Public Works.

Officials anticipate the lane will be closed for about three weeks. During the closure, crews from Pugliano Construction Co. of Plum will work on Crawford Run Bridge No. 3, which includes concrete repairs to an outlet, shoulder stabilization, asphalt restoration and guiderail replacement.

Drivers should use caution in the area. Traffic will be controlled using stop signs.

The work is part of a $2.6 million contract that includes work on six other bridges.
