Emergency officials work the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and car along Greensburg Road in Lower Burrell on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021.

A 20-year-old Plum man died at the scene of a motorcycle vehicle crash Saturday in Lower Burrell, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Ken Bacha.

Bacha did not have the victim’s name Saturday night.

According to a 911 dispatch supervisor, the collision between the motorcyclist and an unspecified vehicle occurred at 12:55 p.m.

The accident scene is along Lower Burrell’s border with New Kensington, just up Greensburg Road from an intersection that’s commonly called the Parnassus Triangle.

In addition to the coroner’s office, Lower Burrell police are investigating, the dispatcher said.

The roadway was shut down for more than an hour after the crash, according to area fire officials.

No further information was available from the coroner’s office or police.
