New Kensington Post Office to host passport fair
The New Kensington Post Office will host a passport fair next weekend.
The location is among select post offices in the Western Pennsylvania District hosting a fair to help customers obtain passports. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the post office, 501 11th St.
“Passport Fairs are a great opportunity to get your passport without having to schedule an appointment,” according to the U.S. Postal Service.
Appointments are required for any other dates.
Customers will need to bring required documentation. That includes a completed DS-11, “Application for a U.S. Passport” form; proof of U.S. citizenship; proof of identity; photocopies of U.S. citizenship and identification documents; payment (debit and credit cards are not accepted); and a passport photo, if photo services are not available at the selected post office location.
Passport applications for children under 16 have special requirements.
Outside of the fair, the postal service has launched a retail customer appointment scheduler.
