The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is rolling out a specialized website for tracking traffic around the 2026 NFL Draft.

Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to descend on Pittsburgh’s North Shore and Point State Park this week — and that is certain to impact traffic patterns.

“Hosting this major event in Pittsburgh is very exciting, and the department is using every tool possible to minimize roadway congestion and focus on safe travel by providing drivers with as much information as possible,” PennDOT Secretary Mike Carrol said in a news release.

The site is hosted through 511PA and aims to provide drivers with real-time traffic conditions on primary travel routes to the draft.

The draft page includes the average travel time for people coming from all directions. It will display traffic cameras, traffic speeds, incidents that could impact traffic, construction and other messages, as well as a link to Pittsburgh Regional Transit and public transit maps.

PennDOT will activate an additional 40 cameras in the area to enhance traffic monitoring.

The department also is putting up 32 more message boards to help direct travelers.

People traveling in and around Pittsburgh should be prepared for changing traffic patterns, slow-moving and stopped vehicles and an influx in pedestrian traffic, PennDOT said in a statement.

PennDOT also announced Monday that its driver’s license center on Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh will be closed Thursday and Friday because of “anticipated traffic impacts and disruptions associated with the NFL Draft.”
