The Andy Warhol (Seventh Street) Bridge will close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday-Thursday nights — except during inclement weather and nearby special events — beginning on Monday.

The Public Works Department says the overnight closures are expected to last at least three months.

The closures are necessary for installing enhanced lighting, according to the Department of Public Works.

During Pirates games that start at 6:35 p.m. or 7:05 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, the bridge be open until 7:30 p.m., when the outbound lane will close to traffic.

At 11 p.m., the bridge will close through 6 a.m.

Traffic during closures on the Andy Warhol Bridge will be detoured using Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the Rachel Carson (Ninth Street) Bridge, and Isabella Street. One sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians while work is being done.

Overnight closures on the Rachel Carson Bridge for installation of enhanced lighting have ended, the Public Works Department said.

Installation of enhanced lighting on the Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge will occur later this year. The Roberto Clemente Bridge is currently closed for rehabilitation work, and is not expected to reopen until December.
