A Greensburg woman died at an Allegheny County hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Hempfield.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Patricia Blake, 71. The incident was reported at the intersection of Toll Route 66 and Business Route 66 at 5:40 p.m.

State police said Blake was driving a Geo Prizm and attempted to turn onto Business Route 66 after getting off an exit of southbound Toll Route 66. The car collided with a Toyota Tundra being driven on Business Route 66. Police said they saw alcoholic beverage containers and drugs inside Blake’s car.

She was pronounced dead at AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville about an hour later, according to the medical examiner and state police.

The driver of the pickup and one passenger were not hurt. A second passenger was taken to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of what troopers described as minor injuries.

Hempfield Fire Chief Anthony Kovacic said firefighters extricated a passenger.
