One person is in the hospital after being stabbed early Thursday morning at The Rialto Bar & Bistro in downtown Greensburg.

The stabbing happened about 1:40 a.m. at the tavern at the intersection of West Otterman Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue, Greensburg police said.

Police did not release further details on the incident, but the business’ social media page advertised a “Thanksgiving Eve Party” from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 2 a.m. Thursday with a DJ, food and drinks. Customers were offered a free Jell-O shot if they took a selfie and posted it on social media.

The business was closed Thursday, and no one answered a knock at the door. Established in 1933, the tavern shuttered for a time this year but reopened under new ownership and management, according to its social media page.

This is at least the second time police have been called to the business this year. In January, two men were shot outside the bar after a fight began inside between Evan R. Curley, 24, of Greensburg and Stevin German, 28, of Uniontown, police said. In that incident, Greensburg police said, video from the bar showed the pair arguing two times inside before they went outside to their vehicles, retrieved guns and began firing at each other.

Officers said at least nine shots were fired. Police said Curley fired two rounds, including one that hit a bystander in the buttocks, while German fired seven shots. Curley suffered gunshot wounds to both legs.

Curley and German are charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. They are in jail in lieu of $250,000 bond each as they await trial, which is scheduled to begin in December.
