Firefighters freed a person trapped in a one-vehicle crash Monday morning in North Belle Vernon.

The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on the on-ramp to Interstate 70 westbound, according to a Westmoreland 911 supervisor. A medical helicopter was ready to transport the person to a hospital.
