Pennsylvania State Police conduct an investigation into a shooting involved death on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Derry

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information about who fired a gun outside a Derry Township home Monday, killing a woman inside.

Anyone with information about the death of Tracy Marie Squib, 52, can contact the nonprofit organization anonymously by phone at 800-4PA-TIPS or through an online tip page. Tipsters who provide information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for the reward, according to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers.

Trooper Steve Limani said the reward could be a big help in getting information.

“If the person who did this breathed a word to anybody, it’s a huge potential of driving somebody to come forward,” he said.

State police said Squib was in her bedroom at 4 a.m. when she was hit by a bullet fired outside her Pandora Road home. Troopers are investigating the death as a homicide.

Someone inside the home called 911 and Squib was taken to Excela Health Latrobe Hospital where she died. Troopers worked Monday gathering evidence inside and outside the home. Police are asking anyone who lives or has a business in the area who may have noticed something suspicious between 3 and 4 a.m. to contact state police.

“We’ve solved other cases because of rewards,” Limani said. “If that can facilitate somebody to come foward, that’s huge.”

Squib worked as a teacher at Grace Bible Academy in Derry. She had two teenage children. Funeral details have not been released.

A GoFundMe site is collecting online donations to help with funeral expenses. The page was nearing its goal of $15,000 Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone with information can contact state police at 724-832-3288.
