2 taken to hospital after car-pickup collision in Unity
Two motorists were taken by ambulance to Excela Latrobe Hospital for treatment following a two-vehicle crash Monday night in Unity.
Firefighters responded just before 9:30 p.m. after a car and pickup truck collided on Marguerite Road, between Marguerite Lake Road and Kimberly Drive.
All occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicles, each of which received moderate front-end damage, according to Marguerite Fire Chief Scot Graham. One was towed from the scene and the other was driven to a nearby residence, he said.
One of the vehicles was partially blocking the road, but firefighters were able to direct traffic around the wreck, Graham said.
Firefighters from Pleasant Unity, Dry Ridge and Mutual assisted, along with Mutual Aid Ambulance Service.
Additional details weren’t immediately available. State police are investigating.
