Nine Greensburg Salem High School students will compete next month in a pageant raising money for the district’s student activities fund.
This is the eighth year the district has held the “Mr. GS” competition. The show will open with an introduction video and a group dance before competitors face off in casual wear and formal wear contests and a Q&A.
“Mr. Congeniality” and “Mr. GS” awards will be given. Attendees can vote during intermission for the “Fan Favorite” award recipient.
The pageant theme is “Prison Break.” Previous themes for the pageant include “Survivor” and “Secret Agents.” The pageant began in 2018 and has been held each year since, except for 2021, when it was canceled because of the covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to the nine competitors, a crew of more than 30 students helps run the show — which typically draws hundreds of viewers.
The pageant will take place at 7:30 p.m. March 6 at the high school, 65 Mennel Drive in Greensburg. Doors open at 7. Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door.
