A 9-month-old boy showed signs of improvement late last night after falling into a 55-gallon fish tank at a home, Murrysville police said Wednesday.

Shortly after 6 p.m., emergency crews responded to the home in the 5200 block of Sardis Road after the infant had been pulled out of the tank by his 6-year-old brother, according to Chief Tom Seefeld.

“Not sure how long he was in the water,” Seefeld said. “Medics worked on the child applying life-saving medical care. … Last night, we received word that the child’s vital signs had shown some improvement.”

Seefeld said police do not suspect any foul play, and no charges have been filed.
