Luke Binakonsky, 10, of Greensburg, uses water weights in the pool at the Aerobic Center at Lynch Field in October 2018 during an adaptive swim class led by instructor Colby Musick-Breegle.

The swimming pool at the Aerobic Center at Lynch Field in Greensburg will open as scheduled at 5 a.m. Thursday after a temporary closure cancelled swim lessons Wednesday night, according to posts on the center’s Facebook page.

“We had a mechanical malfunction with our filter. We’re repairing it,” said Rachel Carloni, aquatics director.

The Wednesday evening group swim lessons and adaptive swim class were affected by the closure, she said. Group swim lessons will have a makeup date Feb. 27.
