All Franklin Regional school board candidates make it through primary

All of the candidates for Franklin Regional school board made it through Tuesday’s primary and will appear on at least one side of the ballot in the general election.

On the Republican side, Shannon Venditti took home the most votes with just over 22%, followed by Bill Csaszar (21.43%) and incumbents Kevin Kurimsky (21.41%) and Debra Wohlin (21.17%).

On the Democrat side, Amy Sheridan was the top candidate, taking 40% of the ballot, followed by Wohlin (16.7%), Venditti (15.8%) and Kurimsky (14.83%).

Sheridan took the most votes overall, getting more than 1,600 votes on the Democrat side and more than 1000 on the Republican side.

All candidates were cross-filed.

An estimated 3,000 voters turned out to cast their ballots in the school board primary. All of the votes have been counted.
