A 47-year-old man who was cited last month for repeatedly harassing a Delmont woman was arrested Saturday by borough police after again allegedly contacting the victim and her mother.

Patrick J. Daugherty of Leechburg was arraigned on charges of intimidating a witness and harassment for repeatedly messaging the victim through social media, asking her to withdraw the previous complaints. Officer Jacob Cholock alleges in court documents Daugherty also sent a message through social media to the victim’s mother.

Daugherty was arraigned before acting District Judge Charles Christner and ordered held in the county prison after failing to post $25,000 bail.

Cholock reported that he filed two harassment complaints Jan. 19 against Daugherty. Cholock reported when the complaints were filed before Export District Judge Charles R. Conway, he warned Daugherty not to contact the victim.

The victim informed police Daugherty began contacting her again last week, demanding “she drop these charges and u will never hear from me again,” Cholock wrote in court documents.

Daugherty has hearings scheduled Feb. 22 before Conway.
