Westmoreland Museum of American Art welcomed the public to enjoy bakery pies and bluegrass music Sunday in the latest of its Community Day events, held the first Sunday of each month at the Greensburg fine arts showcase.
Those who attended also could explore a petting zoo and ride a mechanical bull. The title of the event, “Goodbye Pie Town,” and the rural theme of many of the activities, were linked to a museum exhibit that is ending its run.
“After Russell Lee: I-60” is a display of pieces by artist Sherrie Levine that reproduce photographs Lee took to depict life in the 1930s in Pie Town, N.M.
