Blues guitar legend Buddy Guy will have to wait a little longer to say “Damn Right Farewell” to Westmoreland County, after announcing that his Sept. 28 show will be rescheduled to April 7, 2024.

“My medical team has advised me to reschedule some of my upcoming shows,” Guy, 87, said in a statement. “Please note that this decision was not made lightly, but is in the best interest of my health and well-being.”

Guy’s “Damn Right Farewell Tour” is scheduled for stops at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Baltimore, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Boston in the coming week. The tour’s title is a play on the title of Guy’s 1991 album, “Damn Right I’ve Got the Blues.”

Ticket refunds will be issued at the point of purchase, and existing tickets will be honored at the April date.

Ticket buyers with questions can call 724-836-8000 or email boxoffice@wctrust.net.

“Your support means the world to me, and I promise when I return, it will be a night to remember,” Guy said.
