Hempfield Area School Board members are planning a third roof restoration project, this time at West Hempfield Elementary School.

School board members approved the project during Monday’s meeting.

According to Superintendent Tammy Wolicki, the project will begin at the end of the school year and is expected to be finished by the start of the next school year.

West Hempfield elementary is the third district school to receive a new roof. West Point and Fort Allen elementary schools underwent roof restorations last summer.

The total cost of the project rings in at $433,944.
