Westmoreland County’s board of elections on Wednesday issued a final certification of results from last month’s municipal balloting.

The board made official the results from township supervisor, borough and city councils, mayors and other municipal races, according to Elections Bureau Director Beth Lechman.

Elections officials last week certified the results from state, county and school board races.

No challenges to any of the results were filed and no recounts were requested, Lechman said.

School boards started swearing in new members this month.

Newly elected Westmoreland County office holders will be sworn-in on Dec. 26 at the courthouse. They will officially begin work on Jan. 6.
