Authorities have identified a man who was found dead in an Irwin creek Saturday afternoon.

Authorities were called to Tinker Run Creek near the amphitheater in Irwin Park at 3 p.m. after someone spotted the body in the water, according to police.

The Westmoreland County coroner said there was “no evidence of trauma or foul play” associated with the death of Kenneth R. Rhodes Sr., 56, of Oak Street in Irwin.

An autopsy was performed by Dr. Cyril H. Wecht and Pathology Associates on Sunday, but a cause and manner of death will not be released until toxicology results are received, which is expected to take several weeks, according to the coroner.
