Eastbound motorists on Route 30 in Hempfield will be subject to a nightly single-lane restriction beginning Monday, Oct. 13 as a PennDOT contractor works on the Route 130 bridge over the highway.

The traffic restriction will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between the eastbound exit ramp from Route 30 to Route 130 and the intersection of St. Clair Way.

It’s expected to continue through late this month, depending on weather conditions.

Crews from Allison Park Contractors will complete preservation work on the Route 130 bridge bearings as part of an effort to retrofit bearings at multiple sites.

Daytime single-lane restrictions are scheduled on the West Newton Bridge on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The restriction is slated from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 136 in West Newton to allow for a PennDOT bridge inspection.
