Reunions

The Mausville School reunion will be held Aug. 22 at the Pleasant Grove School House in Cook Township.

It will begin at 1 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish. Chicken and beverages will be provided.

Church news

The Community Church of Hecla is holding a turkey dinner from 4-7 p.m. July 11.

Takeouts will be available. The church is located at 537 Hecla Road, Southwest.

Sales

— An indoor flea market, craft and antique show will be held 7 a.m.-1 p.m. July 25 in the Cook Township Community Center, Stahlstown.

Tables are $10, pre-paid in advance by calling 724-238-2630. They will be $15 on the day of the sale. Food will be available from the community center kitchen.

— The West Newton Library, 124 N Water St., is accepting used hardcover, paperback, children’s, non-fiction and DVDs for the upcoming book sale. Cookbooks, encloypedias and Bibles are not being accepted.

Books can be dropped off during regular hours, Mondays and Thursdays 12-5 p.m., Wednesdays 12-7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or dropped off on the ramp side of the building porch. Details: 724-633-0798

Dances

The White Oak American Legion Post #701 will hold oldies dances July 11 and July 25.

The dances, held at the post at 2813 Capital St., White Oak, will run 7-11 p.m. Admission is $5. Music from the 1950s and early ’60s will be provided by Candy and Mike.

— The Rostraver Sportsmen Association, 593 Cedar Creek Road, Belle Vernon, will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. July 20.

— The South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. July 14 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. It will be the club’s summer pizza party.
