A car veered off the road Sunday night and crashed into a creek just west of Route 30 in Ligonier, initial reports indicate.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.

The crash happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. where Two-Mile Run Road crosses over Loyalhanna Creek, a Westmoreland County 911 shift commander said. There were no reports of anyone trapped in the damaged car.

Medics and police still were responding to the incident shortly before 7 p.m.

Ligonier Valley Police are investigating.

A police spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.
