Someone is a little richer after a winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket was sold at a Rostraver gas station, according to Pennsylvania Lottery officials.

The winning ticket worth $250,000 less withholding was sold at a GetGo along Route 51 for Monday’s drawing. The ticket matched all five balls drawn — 1-6-13-24-36. According to lottery information, the chances of winning the jackpot are 1 in 962,598.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket, more than 11,200 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in the drawing, officials said.

To play Cash 5, players must pick five numbers between one and 43. To win the jackpot, all five numbers must match, however, there are also prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Every $2 play includes the main game and a Quick Cash game, where if any numbers match any winning numbers in the same game, a $2 or $6 prize is won. The chances of winning a quick cash game are separate from the chances of winning the main Cash 5 game. According to lottery officials, the chances of winning a Quick Cash game are one in 4.7, while the chances of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about one in 10.5.

The GetGo location earned a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Several winning Cash 5 tickets have been sold across the region this year. Two winning tickets were sold in January, the first at Thomas’ General Store along Saltsburg Road in Washington Township. The winning Cash 5 ticket was worth $195,000, and was one of two that won the $390,000 jackpot. The other ticket was purchased in York County.

Another winning Cash 5 ticket worth $373,000 was sold days later at the Giant Eagle in Murrysville.

More recently a ticket worth $200,000 was sold last month at Rick’s Tobacco Outlet along Route 30 in Hempfield.

According to lottery officials, the winner of Monday’s drawing can be identified after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. Prizes won on any Quick Cash game must be claimed within a year of the purchase date. Anyone with a winning ticket should contact their nearest Lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481.
