Diamond Square in Ligonier as seen last October.

There will be a number of road closures, detours and street restrictions in the heart of Ligonier this week to allow for filming of the movie, “Hershey.”

Here are the areas that will be affected.

Municipal Lot A, at Church Street and Route 711, will be closed for parking from noon Tuesday until noon Saturday.

The Diamond Market, an offshoot of the Ligonier Country Market, will open its season from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday — in Municipal Lot A instead of at the Diamond. During the remainder of the lot’s closure, it will be occupied by the film’s production crew.

The first block of West Main Street, adjacent to the Diamond, will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. Monday until noon Saturday.

The Diamond itself will be closed from 6 a.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Saturday.

A route detouring traffic away from the closed Diamond will be in place beginning at 5 a.m. Wednesday .

During the detour, traffic will be limited to one-way westbound on West Vincent Street, between North Market and Walnut streets. Parking will be prohibited along West Vincent, North Walnut, East Loyalhanna, St. Clair and East Church streets.

The movie is expected to be released next year.
