Computers at Mt. Pleasant Public Library are now available by appointment while bookshelves remain closed.

Library director Brian Dawson said the computers can be used in 50-minute increments. Staff members will be able to monitor building occupancy and space between those using the computers. The workstations will be cleaned in between users, he said.

Anyone inside the building is required to wear a mask. To reserve a computer, call the library at 724-547-3850 or visit mountpleasantpalibrary.org.

Patrons can continue to pick up books and DVDs curbside after placing orders through the library.

Libraries around Westmoreland County have been increasing public access in different ways, with some allowing limited time for browsing the stacks, while others are requiring appointments. None are completely open.
