An electrical contractor working at a Hempfield plant reported that $4,800 worth of tools and copper wire were stolen from its job site, state police from Greensburg said.
J.W. Peters Co. of Bethel Park reported the tools and wire were stolen from the General Carbide Corp. plant on Garden Drive sometime between 3 p.m. Dec. 27 and 5 a.m. Dec. 30, police said.
A 400-foot roll of copper wire worth $3,500 was stolen, as well as a green DeWalt laser valued at $600, a Milwaukee battery bandsaw valued at $400 and an electric Milwaukee bandsaw valued at $300, police said.
