A Derry Township man accused of exposing himself to a girl in an apartment complex was arrested Saturday after, police say, he scuffled with state troopers.

Police were called to the Scott Court apartment complex about 8:30 p.m. after receiving complaints that Brian A. Hoffman, 33, was exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl from an open window of his apartment.

While police were responding, Trooper Anthony Baum said Hoffman began yelling obscenities at residents walking past his apartment.

Baum said Hoffman resisted arrest and “became hostile and refused to cooperate.”

Hoffman was arraigned on charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. District Judge Mark Bilik ordered him held in the county prison after Hoffman failed to post $10,000 bond.
