Court will decide who fills vacant Norwin School Board seat
The Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas will make an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Norwin School Board.
Four candidates were considered for the seat that became vacant when Joanna Jordan died Aug. 1, but the board couldn’t reach a consensus. Jordan’s term expires in December.
The Norwin School District will have to pay for the legal advertisement that notifies eligible residents when they can submit their names for consideration.
The district faced a similar situation in 2019 when William Essay was appointed to the board to replace Shawn Petrisko, who resigned in August 2018.
