Penn-Trafford High School

After being notified of its 10th positive covid-19 case in the past 14 days, Penn-Trafford High School will be closed Friday through the weekend, reopening Monday, March 29.

During that time there will be no extracurricular activities for students, district officials said in a Thursday letter to district families.

State guidelines say that if a school is in the “Moderate” transmission designation and has between six and 10 positive cases, the building will close for three to seven days.

Students will receive synchronous remote instruction on Friday during their scheduled class times.

The school district’s covid-19 tracker will reset to zero on Monday, in accordance with state education guidelines when closing for the mandated time period.

The district currently has 10 active cases and has dealt with 150 total cases throughout the school year.
