2 injured after vehicle crashes into woods off Route 30

Two people were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed into the woods off Route 30 in Southwest Greensburg.

Westmoreland County Public Safety officials said state police responded to the wreck on the eastbound side of Route 30 near the Route 119 exit around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle went off the road and into the woods. One patient was flown by medical helicopter and one was transported by ambulance, both to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, according to Mutual Aid Ambulance spokesperson Shawn Penzera.

Route 30 was temporarily closed from the Route 136 exit in Hempfield to the Route 119 exit.
