The Franklin Regional Cross Country team will collect donations of new and gently used shoes Saturday in Murrysville.

The team is working with fundraising company Funds2Orgs, which will sell the shoes at a discount to those in need in other countries. Funds2Orgs will also make a donation to the team’s charity of choice, which is the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church.

The collection event will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will coincide with a Loaves & Fishes food drive and a community glass recycling event. All three will take place at the Veterans Field parking lot, 4200 Sardis Road in Murrysville.
