A man was killed after a motorcycle crash in Unity Township on Saturday, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Brandon Shea, 43, of Mt. Pleasant, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.

Emergency crews were called at about 6:20 p.m. to the intersection of Route 30 and Wimmerton Boulevard.

According to Carson, Shea’s motorcycle was hit by a Toyota Camry while the car was making a left turn onto U.S. 30 from Wimmerton Boulevard.

Shea was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Route 30 has since reopened to traffic.
