Delmont, nonprofit Share the Joy will bring Santa to town on Dec. 19

Delmont Borough and nonprofit Share the Joy will host a Dec. 19 holiday parade to bring Santa Claus to town.

The parade will start at 5 p.m., Dec. 19 at Faith United Methodist Church on Freeport Street.

It will head to Athena Drive, down to Park Drive, circle back to Maple Drive and Circle Drive and continue along Church Street to Christy Road and into the Barrington Ridge neighborhood.

After that, it will continue down Church Street to Freeport Street, heading left on East Pittsburgh Street to Overly, Fairview and School streets before crossing Route 66 down Manor Road to the Apple Hill neighborhood.

It will then cross over to Valley Stream Drive to Old William Penn Highway before circling through Monticello and hitting West Pittsburgh Street.

Finally, Santa will cross Route 66 once again, heading down Greensburg Street and finishing at the parking lot for the new Delmont Public Library where refreshments will be provided by the Salvation Army canteen.
