A Derry Township woman alleges she was held at knifepoint, beaten and choked by her boyfriend in a domestic assault that began late Monday and lasted until she was able to flee Tuesday afternoon.

Randy S. Authier, 22, was arraigned on multiple charges filed by by state police at Kiski including aggravated assault, harassment, terroristic threats, simple assault and strangulation.

The woman told investigators the assault began about 7 p.m. Monday during an argument with Authier at the Derry Townhouse apartment complex where the couple live on Murtha Way. It ended about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when the woman was able to flee to the Latrobe police station several blocks away.

The woman alleges that Authier repeatedly punched her, held his hand over her mouth and held a black pocket knife to her stomach during the assault.

“Be quiet, stop screaming or I’m going to stab you,” the woman quoted Authier as telling her during the assault, Trooper Zachary Chamblee wrote in court documents.

During an interview at the police station, Chamblee said he noticed the woman had multiple bruises on her face and chest. Authorities said she required medical treatment.

Authier, who used to live in Delaware, has no prior criminal record in Pennsylvania, according to online court records. He did not have an attorney listed in court documents.

Authier was arraigned in night court and ordered held in the county prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is Nov. 18.
