A drive-thru milk distribution is set for Wednesday in Jeannette.

The American Dairy Association North East is partnering with Schneider’s Dairy and The Salvation Army to distribute 1,000 gallons of milk in the community through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program.

Each vehicle that participates in the event at the Magee Avenue parking lot between 9 a.m. and noon will get two gallons of milk, according to an announcement. The parking lot is across from 101 S. Fifth St.

Drivers and passengers are asked to stay in their vehicles and open their trunks or a window if a trunk isn’t available. Walk ups are not permitted. Extra gallons can be delivered to others who can’t drive or don’t have a vehicle, according to the announcement. The event is free and no registration is required.
